Jayson Shortt, Owner of Desert King Windows, has carried Desert King Windows into more than 30,000 homes across Arizona, Las Vegas, and San Antonio, Texas, continuing the same dedication to care and quality he shared while running the company alongside his father, Ron Shortt, a family legacy built on over 25 years in business. The business quickly became known for honesty, personal service, and a family-first approach. Today, Jayson and his family are proud to be full owners, carrying that tradition forward every day.

James Cataldo

COO

James Cataldo, Chief Operating Officer, has nearly 25 years of experience in window and door installation and has been a key leader at Desert King Windows since 2016. His unwavering standards for quality and attention to detail earned him the responsibility of overseeing installation operations, ensuring every project meets the high expectations our customers deserve.

Jonathan Stapleton

Arizona Project Manager

Jonathan Stapleton, Arizona Project Manager, oversees all Desert King Windows installation projects across Arizona. Starting his career on the installation crews, Jonathan understands the importance of doing the job right. Today, he leads installer teams, performs quality checks, and ensures each project meets Desert King Windows’ standards and customer expectations.

Our Sales Consultants are often the first people you’ll meet from Desert King Windows and the friendly faces that welcome us into your home. Ron Shortt

Owner

Ron Shortt played a key role in building Desert King Windows alongside his son, Jayson Shortt, helping grow the company into the trusted, family-owned business it is today. Their shared dedication to quality, integrity, and customer care set the tone for everything Desert King Windows stands for.

While Ron is now retired, he still enjoys making friendly visits to the office, checking in on the team, and staying connected to the company he helped build. His presence and his influence are always welcome.

Bill and Susan Burns

Founders

Desert King Windows

Desert King Windows was founded in Oro Valley in 1999 by Bill and Susan Burns. Bill retired to beautiful Tucson after a long career in replacement window sales & service in southern Arkansas. After about 1 year of fishing and golfing, Bill just had to get back into the window business… So
Desert King Windows was born.

Since then, Bill opened a location in Phoenix, and soon after, El Paso, Texas and Albuquerque, New Mexico. With such a strong sales background and a great relationship with the manufacturer, Bill and Susan grew the company to exceed $10 Million in annual sales.
